We can laser engrave your selection to 1200 dpi mechanically, and 600 dpi optically. The resulting precision engraved representation of your text, logo or emblem reinforces the potential as a gift, or as product for resale, as a corporate gift, promotional product, or presentation. 

We do not charge any artwork fees providing we are supplied with artwork in accordance with our requirements (see below). If your artwork has to be revised we will charge $100.00 per hour, with a minimum charge of $50.00. We will advise you of the estimated charges before any alteration to your artwork is commenced. 

We do not charge setup or layout fees, this includes typesetting of text and inclusion of, or resizing of artwork. Complex artwork such as recreating logos or emblems will be charged at a rate of $100.00 per hour with a minimum charge of $50.00. Be aware we have a wealth of experience in engraving onto timber products, and will be only too happy to assist in the compilation of your artwork. Customer provided artwork is only kept on file for 12 months.

Please ensure you comply with our artwork requirements as outlined below, as the software program  we use is orientated to our engraver, rather than desktop publishing, graphics manipulation and file conversion. Should you require assistance or clarification, please feel free to contact us.

We will personalise your selection enabling recognition to the individual, providing we are supplied with a typewritten alphabetical list of names with the order. Alternatively a word processing file on 3.5" disc, CD or submitted by e-mail is also acceptable as this ensures no possibility of misunderstanding or misspelling. There is no charge for this service.   

All material submitted by the customer for use by us in engraving the items will be accepted in good faith as being in full compliance with all applicable laws regarding trademark, copyright, patent or similar protection. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Engraving requires a minimum order of $200.00 of any single product, or 10 of any single product, whichever has the greater.

The limitation of our free engraving is extended to a single engraving of a maximum of 25 sq centimetres per item, engraving in excess of this is charged at a rate of $0.20 per sq cm, any second engraving on the one product will be charged at the same rate. It is important to consider that the most likely reason you have selected one of our products is because it is made from a beautiful timber, engraving a large logo tends to detracts from the item.

When measuring your engraving area please ensure you measure the "squared off" area to be engraved, not just the area covered by the logo.  

Please note that for technical reasons not all of our products are suitable to be engraved.

If you require text only to be engraved, we would recommend that you select from the following fonts as our experience has shown that these fonts will engrave very well. Should you require a different font, please be prepared to provide it. We will centre justify and centrally position your text on the middle of the required surface, unless we are given alternative instructions.

We recommend that you entrust OzWood with a degree "artistic licence" allowing us to use our considerable experience in laying out your artwork to the best advantage of the product, in doing this we will consider the size, font and engraving area available on the product. If requested, several sample layouts will be provided for you to assess, and if necessary alter, and select from.
