If you require engraving it is important you read and understand the contents of this page. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us. We can laser engrave your artwork to 1200 dpi mechanically, and 600 dpi optically. We do not charge artwork setup fees provided we are supplied with artwork in accordance with our requirements (see below). If your artwork has to be revised we will charge $100 per hour, with a minimum charge of $50. We will advise you of the estimated charges before any alteration to your artwork is commenced. We do not charge setup or layout fees, and this includes typesetting of text and inclusion or resizing of artwork. Complex artwork such as recreating logos or emblems will be charged at a rate of $100 per hour with a minimum charge of $50. Please note that we have a wealth of experience in engraving timber products, and will be only too happy to assist in the compilation of your artwork. Customer provided artwork is only kept on file for 12 months. Please ensure you do send artwork in the following format: Line art of black and white graphics Please ensure you do not send the following: Colour or grayscale graphics If you require assistance as to the suitability of the graphics you have, please contact Geoff on 0409 726 263 for advice. We are able to personalise your order with individual names. Simply email us an alphabetical list which can be directly downloaded to the engraver, eliminating any errors on our part. There is no charge of this service. All artwork submitted by the customer will be accepted in good faith as being in full compliance with all applicable laws regarding trademark, copyright, patent or similar protection. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with this requirement. Our free engraving service requires a minimum order of $200 of any single product, or 10 of any single product, whichever is the greater. The limitation of our free engraving is extended to a single engraving of a maximum of 25sq centimetres per item, and therefore engraving in excess of this is charged at a rate of 20 cents per square centimetre. Any second engraving on the one product will be charged at the same rate. It is important to consider that the most likely reason your client has selected our products is due to the natural beauty of the timber, and engraving of a large logo tends to distract from its appeal. When measuring your engraving area please ensure you measure the squared off area to be engraved, not just the area covered by the logo. If you require text only to be engraved, we would recommend that you select from the following fonts as our experience has shown that these fonts engrave well. We will centre, justify and centrally position your text in the middle of the product unless we are given alternative instructions. Aldine401 BT, Aldine401 BT (small capitals), Amazone BT We recommend that you entrust Ozwood with a degree of artistic licence allowing us to use our considerable experience in laying out your artwork to the best advantage, and in doing this we will consider the size, font and engraving area on the product. From your initial instruction, a sample layout will be provided for you to assess, and if necessary, alter. The layout will be emailed, and we will require approval of the artwork layout by return email.
